Vocal Masterclasses with Dame Felicity Lott

We are thrilled that Dame Felicity Lott will be joining us at ISSMUS 2012, to teach masterclasses and to perform a recital.

There are seven 45min solo vocal masterclass places available at ISSMUS 2012. The masterclasses will take place on Sunday 12th August in the Alington Hall at Shrewsbury School and will be open to the public.

How to Enter

To have the chance to perform in one of the masterclasses, entrants should submit an audition recording of two short contrasting solo vocal works and also provide a short description (approximately half a side of A4) of their previous singing experience. The audition recordings will be adjudicated by one of the ISSMUS vocal tutors, who will consider which applicants will benefit the most from the experience.

Audition recordings can be submitted on tape or CD and posted to our Administrator, Sophia Russell, at 14 Carnicot House, Consort Road, London, SE15 2PJ. Electronic audition recordings can also be emailed to Sophia at issmus.info@gmail.com. The deadline for entries is 1st June 2012.

The fee for those successful in securing a masterclass place is £75. This will not be payable until you receive a communication from Sophia to confirm you have been successful in your audition.

Practical details

A timetable for the day, and the ticket price (for non-ISSMUS members) to attend all or part of the day will be publicised nearer the time. Masterclass students who are also taking part in an ISSMUS course will have their masterclass timetabled to fit in with their course activities as far as possible. Masterclass students who are not ISSMUS members may also listen in on the other masterclasses during the day, and are welcome to join us for lunch.
