Young ISSMUS
The Young ISSMUS courses are open primarily to participants aged up to 18. Unlike the other ISSMUS courses, the Young ISSMUS courses include all tuition and bolt-on activities, e.g. the Young Pianists course includes both individual lessons and piano ensemble learning. See the individual course pages for more details.
Young ISSMUS members join with the rest of the summer school for all events, including student concerts, and meals. There will also be some opportunities for Young ISSMUS members to take part in other ISSMUS bolt-on activities, for example jazz lessons, at the discretion of the tutors.

Practical arrangements
Young Pianists tutor Anthony Williams will oversee the two Young ISSMUS courses, to encourage the students to gel as one group, both musically and socially.
Outside of teaching hours house parents will be on duty to support all students on site aged under eighteen. All Young ISSMUS students, and ISSMUS students aged under eighteen will be housed in one accommodation block during the ISSMUS week.
Recreational activities will be organised outside teaching hours, including an outing on Wednesday afternoon for all Young ISSMUS students and all other students aged under eighteen to join should they wish.
