The International Summer School of Music at Shrewsbury is a week-long specialist music course for singers, pianists, conductors and composers. We run a host of different courses catering to a range of ages and abilities, and are committed to providing top-quality tuition in a friendly, supportive environment.

This year’s ISSMUS will take place between 11-18 August 2012. The summer school is held on the beautiful campus of Shrewsbury School, Shropshire, and all performance events are open to the general public. Every year we host around 130 students; most of our students are UK residents but a small number join us from abroad. We believe that all of us – students and tutors – benefit from not only following our own chosen courses, but also being able to observe other courses at work. A flexible timetable allows students the opportunity to spend at least one session a day observing other musical activities.
